Google Gears估计很多人没听说过吧，但是Google Reader我 相信很多人都在用。对了，Google Gears就是Google的一个开源的浏览器插件，他可以让Google以及第三方的在线服务可以离线运行和使用。Google Reader就是Google Gears的第一个离线应用版本. Google Gears Beta允许开发者在离线时在火狐和IE浏览器上开发应用程序。Google Gears Beta目前支持Windows(XP/Vista), Mac and Linux，2008年3月3日又推出Windows Mobile版本。
